Yaoyao Language Coach ("we", "us") is a sole proprietorship registered in Denmark (CVR: 46702328). We provide one-to-one Mandarin coaching and online study tools. For the purposes of data protection law, Yaoyao Language Coach is the data controller of the personal data described in this notice.

• Account data: name, email address, and login credentials when you register.
• Booking data: your name, contact details, and lesson scheduling information.
• Learning data: words you save, quiz results, study plans, and comments you post.
• Support data: messages you send through the contact form or by email.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and basic usage telemetry.

Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment provider, and are never stored by us.

• To create and manage your account and provide the service (legal basis: performance of a contract).
• To schedule, confirm, and manage lessons and send related notifications (contract).
• To keep the service secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests).
• To improve our materials and study tools (legitimate interests).
• To respond to your questions and support requests (contract / legitimate interests).
• To meet legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).

• Service providers that host and operate the website, database, and email delivery.
• Stripe, our payment processor, for payments, subscription management and receipts.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
• Authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

Some of our service providers process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised. Records required for tax and accounting are kept for the period required by Danish law.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Restrict or object to processing, and to data portability.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) or your local supervisory authority.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your personal data.
